THE BARATELLI INSTITUTE · Mentoring at Scale
MENTORING AT SCALE

The continuously-updated
practitioner library.

Every guide. Every tool. The Brief. Monthly office hours. The Clarus deal-monitor generator. Updated annually as tax, regulatory, and structural rules change. The kind of mentor most people never get access to — paced for thirty years.

FOUNDING MEMBER PRICING — LIMITED TO FIRST 500 SUBSCRIBERS
WHAT YOU GET

Five things, all under one subscription.

The library and the tools you've already seen, plus three more layers that aren't free. The annual rebuild is the part that matters most — when tax law changes, your guide changes too.

L
The Library, Continuously Updated
22 guides today, growing as the library expands, all rebuilt every year as rules change. Tax law shifts; your guides shift with it. A subscriber who lapses immediately loses access to the current-year material and falls behind.
T
All Sixteen Tools (and Growing)
Liquidity event, NIL, family office cost, trust selector, deal multiples, state tax migration, plus the eight more on the roadmap including product profitability, WACC, ROIC, Black-Scholes, and the fixed-asset capex justification with NPV and IRR built in.
B
The Brief — Paid Layer
The free Brief becomes a subscriber's deeper version: behind-the-scenes thinking, working notes from current strategic engagements, deal monitors on live transactions, and the editorial cuts that don't make the public newsletter.
O
Monthly Office Hours
Live group call, once a month, where Phil takes questions on whatever subscribers are working through. Recorded for those who can't attend live. The closest thing to having him as a personal mentor.
C
The Clarus Generator
Paste a press release announcing strategic alternatives or a definitive merger; ninety seconds later, four polished documents — IC memo, financial model, presentation deck, sector outreach note. The proof of concept ran on Sysco/Jetro Restaurant Depot in fifteen minutes.
F
Subscriber Forum + Network
Private community of practitioners — solo CPAs, fractional CFOs, family-office operators, junior bankers, advisors — sharing what they're working on and how they're using the library. Quietly the most valuable part for many subscribers.
PRICING

Three subscription tiers. Annual billing.

Subscription wraps every guide (continuously updated) with the layers you can't get from a one-time purchase: the Brief paid tier, monthly office hours, the Clarus deal-monitor generator, and the subscriber forum. Founding Member pricing locks for three years for the first 500 subscribers. Need just one guide for one project? All 22 are available individually on Gumroad — browse the catalog.

WHY THIS WILL OUTLAST GENERIC AI TOOLS

The bundle is the moat.

Standalone AI document generators will arrive within eighteen months. Many of them. None will have what's below.

1
Editorial framework, not just AI calls. Thirty years of practitioner discipline encoded in every output. Generic AI doesn't write like this.
2
Annual rebuild commitment. Tax law changes every year. Your subscription changes with it. Generic tools don't have a curator.
3
30+ sector knowledge bases. Comp sets, precedents, deal-typology models — built across years of library work. Hard to replicate.
4
Single editorial voice. Phil writes everything. No committee. No ghostwriters. The voice is the brand.
5
Direct access through office hours. Most practitioner brands gate the founder. This one opens that door once a month.
6
The community of subscribers. The forum becomes a peer network of practitioners working at your level. Often the most-cited reason to stay.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked.

When does the subscription actually launch?
Q3 2026. Founding-member reservations are open now and you'll be invoiced when the product is live. The library and tools are already in production; the subscription wraps them with the additional layers (Brief paid tier, office hours, Clarus generations, forum) and locks in the annual-rebuild commitment.
What if I just want to buy one guide?
The 22 guides are available individually on Gumroad priced by depth and audience — Premier (FO, CFO, PE) at $349, AWP Pro at $249, mid-premium (EPD, Trust) at $149, mid-default (LEP, BBG, GENT, TA, WP, AI Decoded) at $99, Founders' Synthesis (FP) at $99, Money Reality HS US + Intl at $39, Decide. Act. Now. at $49. One-time purchase, you keep that edition forever. The subscription is the path for practitioners who want every guide always current as tax law changes, plus the access layers (Brief paid tier, office hours, Clarus, forum) that aren't included with individual purchase. Quick rule of thumb: if you'll likely want a second guide within 12 months, the subscription wins on price alone.
Can my firm get a multi-seat license?
Yes. The Firm tier includes 5 seats. Enterprise (custom) handles larger firms with API access, SSO, and white-label branding. Contact us for the conversation.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep the snapshot of the library at the version you last had access to (the Practitioner tier and above include an annual library archive download). What you lose: the next annual update, the new tools, the office hours, and Clarus access.
How does the Clarus generator work?
Paste a press release announcing strategic alternatives or a definitive merger agreement into the web form. Ninety seconds later, you download a ZIP with four documents — IC memo (Word), financial model (Excel), presentation deck (PowerPoint), and sector outreach note (Word) — formatted, branded with your firm name if you want, and ready for partner review with light editing. The proof of concept is the Sysco/Jetro Restaurant Depot package produced March 30, 2026.
Is this tax/legal/investment advice?
No. The Library Subscription is education and decision-support. For implementation, the Working with the Institute page lists Strategic Engagements (where Phil works with you directly) and the Vetted Partner Network (firms we trust for ongoing work).
