How this works

This uses an Allen-Cunneen approximation of the classic M/M/s queue. It's accurate enough for operational sizing (cashier lines, kitchen tickets, attraction throughput, contact-center capacity). For precise modeling, use a discrete-event simulator. Companion workbook tab: Ch16 · Venue & Attraction.
