Little's Law: L = λW · Average number in system = arrival rate × average time in system. Use for queue lines, restaurant tables, ride-throughput, support tickets, surgery suites — anywhere people or work pile up.

How this works
This uses an Allen-Cunneen approximation of the classic M/M/s queue. It's accurate enough for operational sizing (cashier lines, kitchen tickets, attraction throughput, contact-center capacity). For precise modeling, use a discrete-event simulator. Companion workbook tab: Ch16 · Venue & Attraction.
